Home & Personal Organizing Business Launched in Easton
(Easton, PA) – In Order, a home and personal organizing business, does more than simply install closets. Offering a wide range of services to homeowners, home sellers, renters, and small businesses, In Order digs to the root of home or business disorganization and devises solutions. Chris Fairchild, owner and chief organizer, puts a personal twist on home organizing by examining each client’s personal or business habits first.
“Anyone can buy a set of organizing cubbies or a shelf, but there’s more to it than that”, said Fairchild, “It’s a matter of dissecting how a person actually lives or works. Analyzing their habits in a confidential and respectful way leads to practical solutions.” Fairchild offers free consultations for the time-deprived or admittedly disorganized. Each consultation begins with a discussion of what specifically frustrates the person, how they need the area(s) to function, or how they want the space to make them feel.
Fairchild believes in the power that the physical has on the mental. “Just as physical exercise can decrease stress, physical space that’s in order makes most people feel at ease,” he says. This includes homebuyers. Simply organizing a home before an open house can make it more impressive to buyers, allowing them to visualize it as their own and see the potential. This can result in more bids and potentially higher sale prices. Additionally, those moving into new homes or offices may benefit from an organized start.
Fairchild explained that transforming a work area or home can feel like a weight lifted off your shoulders, giving you more time and energy for what’s most important to you. “I’m not trying to make anyone a Type A, but rather to set up a plan so that you don’t waste valuable time cleaning up and trying to find things,” he says. “It’s not a matter of perfection; it’s a matter of function, so you can live life and enjoy it.”
As Assistant Director of Recreation Services at Lafayette College, overseeing the 100,000 square foot Allan P. Kirby Sports Center, he puts his organizing skills to the test everyday. His duties include maintaining a state-of-the-art facility, managing student staff, and coordinating programs.
With a focus on organizing and enhancing homes, In Order also organizes calendars, computer files, documents, events, exercise programs, photographs, memorabilia, and time.
In Order is licensed and insured and gives free estimates. A father of two, Fairchild says, “I realize that organizing doesn’t make life perfect, but it allows time and energy for the things that do.”
